Vegan Mexican Pizza

Recipe: Vegan Mexican Pizza

As we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month here at Hamama, that means we get to try some favorite classics with a little vegan twist. You don’t have to go to that well-known “taco” place to get your Mexican Pizza fix any more when you can make your very own healthier version at home! 


  • 2 flour tortillas
  • ½ cup vegetarian refried beans
  • ¼ cup enchilada sauce
  • ¼ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup red onion, chopped
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives
  • ½ cup vegan shredded cheese
  • ¼ cup green onion, chopped
  • Olive oil spray
  • Hamama microgreens (I used Super Salad Mix here)


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Spray skillet with olive oil and warm tortillas on each side
  3. Warm refried beans in small saucepan over medium heat
  4. Spread beans on one tortilla and use the other tortilla to sandwich together.
  5. Spread enchilada sauce on outer top layer of tortilla
  6. Sprinkle vegan cheese and veggie toppings on pizza
  7. Bake for 10 minutes until cheese is melted, crust is crispy and golden brown
  8. Garnish with your favorite Hamama microgreens
  9. Slice and serve!

Grow your own green onions at home along with your Hamama microgreens!
