Microgreens and micro herbs are the seedling versions of leafy greens, vegetables, and herbs. They are a few days older than "sprouts". Microgreens are considered a superfood and are a great source of nutrition. They only take a week to grow so you can plant and harvest every week with Hamama's microgreen kits.
Microgreens or micro herbs are the most common names for the seedling versions of leafy greens, vegetables, and herbs. Those are the most common names, but sometimes they are called mini greens, micro vegetables, or even micro leaves and micro plants. Microgreens are younger than baby greens so the name refers to the even smaller leaves that are grown by day 7-10 on the seedling.

Technically, the Hamama kit is hydroponic. This just means that it only needs water for growing microgreens. Our kit replaces the soil with natural coconut fiber to give the roots something to grow into. They taste delicious, are also good for you, and you don't have to clean any dirt off before eating.
