Recipe: Shredded brussels sprout pizza with garlic, bacon and balsamic Author: Allie, Hamama Happiness Team Member Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Makes: 1 pizza I love pizza nights! I am always looking for new ideas and remembered these amazing roasted brussels sprouts with bacon, tahini, and balsamic that I got at a local restaurant once. So I turned it into a pizza and now it’s in my top 3 favorites! Garlicky, cheesy, and full of different textures. A must try :) Ingredients: Your favorite pizza crust (I used a pre-made cauliflower crust) 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil, divided 1/2 tablespoon honey 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar 1 tablespoon of tahini (sesame seed paste) Red onion, diced (however much you like!) 2-3 cloves garlic, minced or chopped (I love it garlicky!!) Sprinkle of your favorite herbs (I used a blend of dried thyme, basil, oregano and rosemary) crushed red pepper flakes Sea salt and black pepper to taste 1 cup shredded/shaved brussels sprouts 1/2 cup grated or shaved parmesan or asiago cheese [more or less per your preference] 1 cup of shredded fontina or Havarti cheese [more or less per your preference] 2-3 thick-cut bacon slices, diced Your favorite Hamama greens Instructions: Preheat the oven to 450° F (or whatever temperature your pizza crust needs to be baked at). In a small bowl mix the olive oil, honey, balsamic vinegar, tahini, garlic, herbs, and the red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Taste it to see if you want it sweeter or more acidic. The mixture should be thick enough to spread on the pizza but not too thick. In a separate bowl, toss together the remaining olive oil, the shredded brussels sprouts, and another pinch of salt and pepper. Spread the pizza crust with the olive oil/balsamic/tahini mixture. Add the cheeses, then layer the red onion and brussels sprouts over the cheese. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese has melted. The top layer of the brussels sprouts should be golden brown and toasty! While the pizza is baking, cook the bacon slices until crisp. Top the finished pizza with the crispy bacon pieces, a drizzle of balsamic glaze (optional) and Hamama greens! I used cabbage for a pop of color! ENJOY! Make this recipe today! GROW MICROGREENS NOW
