It’s hard to resist that classic smoked salmon and cream cheese flavor combination ...it’s just delightful to the palette! This version includes capers, dill and cream cheese, and of course your homegrown Hamama green onions!

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of Rye Bread (or any bread you prefer)
  • Drizzle of Olive Oil (for each slice of bread)
  • Cream Cheese (spread evenly on each slice of bread)
  • Smoked Salmon (1 slice per bread, or more if you prefer)
  • Pinch of fresh Dill (to sprinkle over smoked salmon)
  • 4-6 Capers (per bread slice)
  • Hamama Green Onions (sliced thin, add as much as you want)

Instructions:

  1. Take out your two slices of rye bread and add to a pan to place in the oven. Turn your oven on 375F, or you can toast them if you want to be quicker. Drizzle olive oil over each slice and rub to cover evenly. Place in the oven once ready for 5-10 minute or until golden brown.
  2. Once the bread is toasted and ready, place on a plate and get out your cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers, dill, and green onions.
  3. Spread the cream cheese on each half of the bread, then add your salmon, your dill, green onions and I like to drizzle a little extra olive oil for some extra flavor.
  4. Take a bite and be in heaven!!
