Wheatgrass is rich in chlorophyll, vitamins, and minerals and gives you a clean boost of energy.

This smoothie is perfectly refreshing, naturally sweet, thick and creamy, and full of nutrients! The perfect, quick and delicious way to start your day!


  • 2 cups of Fresh Kale or Spinach
  • ½ cup Cantaloupe, frozen*
  • 1 Banana, frozen*
  • ½-1 cup unsweetened Coconut Milk
  • ½ inch piece of Fresh Ginger, peeled (or to taste)
  • 1 spoonful Homegrown, Homemade Wheatgrass Powder (Instructions below)

* Freezing the fruit beforehand will create a creamier and thicker texture! If you are unable to freeze the fruit ahead of time, you can add ice.

Homemade wheatgrass powder:

  1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Harvest your Hamama Sweet Wheatgrass Seed Quilt.
  3. Place your harvest on a baking sheet. The baking sheet and wheatgrass will go into the oven to bake for about 2 hours.
  4. After two hours, the wheatgrass leaves will be dry and brittle and ready to grind.
  5. Place the dried wheatgrass into a coffee grinder, pulse, and Voila! You have wheatgrass powder ready to go.
  6. Store it in your pantry in an airtight jar or Ziploc bag. Each Sweet Wheatgrass Seed Quilt will yield approximately 4 tablespoons of wheatgrass powder (remember, your Wheatgrass Seed Quilts will give you 2 to 3 harvests!).
  7. Use half a tablespoon of your wheatgrass powder in your smoothies or mix into water to reconstitute as wheatgrass juice! Try sneaking your wheatgrass powder into other concoctions like salad dressing, yogurt, and more. Enjoy!

Superfood Wheatgrass Smoothie: 

  1. Add the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Add more or less coconut milk to achieve the desired consistency.
