Fancy dish anyone? This dish may look and taste sophisticated and refined, but let me tell you, it only requires less than 10 ingredients!! Oh yes! It’s so simple, but absolutely delicious, satisfying and beautiful. The clams nestled in a flavorful pasta with caramelized onions, thyme and white wine will instantly win your taste buds over! Enjoy it topped with our fresh and Peppery Arugula Microgreens for the perfect fancy meal at home.

Ingredients:

  • ⅔ cup white wine
  • ½ cup butter, I chose vegan butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Linguine pasta
  • ½ lb fresh clams

Instructions:

  1. Bring water to a boil in a medium-sized pot and cook your pasta to al dente according to package instructions. When your pasta is ready, drain & set aside.

2. While the pasta is cooking, add ¼ cup of butter to a medium-sized pan and saute the onions on low heat for about 20 minutes or until caramelized, stirring occasionally.

3. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, stirring frequently. Remove mixture from the pan and set aside.

4. Add the remaining ¼ cup of butter and the clams to the pan on medium-high heat. Mix in the white wine, thyme and the caramelized onions until combined.

5. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 8-10 minutes, until the clams open up.

6. Add the cooked pasta to the pan, stir to combine and let everything cook together for another 5 minutes.

7. Turn off the heat, add salt and pepper to taste and garnish each serving with a handful of Peppery Arugula Microgreens.
