“Micro-Juicing” with Hamama

“Micro-Juicing” with Hamama

Juicing has become more and more popular due to the fact that freshly squeezed juices quickly give you a huge burst of easily absorbable vitamins and nutrients that we may be lacking in our diets.

By drinking superfood juices, your body absorbs nutrients quickly, without needing to digest the fibers and other components that are in whole foods. You’ll also get a broader intake of vitamins and minerals!

Here are some major benefits of juicing:

🌱 Convenience of getting your nutrients

🍏 High concentration of vitamins / minerals / nutrients

🍋 May reduce your risk of cancer & other disease

🌿 Can boost your immune system

🍍Help remove toxins from your body

🍐 Aid digestion

🍊 Help you manage a healthy weight

With the healthy juicing trend seemingly sticking around, this question came to mind:
Can You Juice Microgreens? Kale yeah!

Veggies like kale, cabbage, and broccoli are so very nutritious at 7-10 days old. There are USDA studies that show this! So eating even just a handful of microgreens can add a ton of nutrition to any meal, including your juices! Microgreens are in some cases up to 40x more nutritiously dense than their mature versions! Amazing, right?! So kale yeah, add those into your juices!

There are endless combinations of ingredients that you can add to your juices! We like to use mostly leafy greens, herbs, veggies & citrus fruits and just a small amount of fruits to keep the sugar content lower. You can add whichever microgreens you like, but we stick to the more subtle flavored varieties like wheatgrass, kale, broccoli, cabbage or cilantro. Radish adds a nice kick if you’re into that!

Here are a few recipe ideas to get you inspired!

Storing your homemade juices:

Make only as much juice as you can drink in a short period of time. Drinking it right away ensures you get the highest concentration of nutrients. You can store any leftovers in an airtight mason jar in your fridge, but it should be consumed within 2-3 days.

If you can’t finish what you made, store remaining juice in ice cube trays in the freezer to pop into smoothies later!
